First practiced in India 4000 years ago, Champissage™ is an ancient treatment for the scalp, face, neck, shoulders, upper back, and upper arms. It is commonly referred to as Indian Head Massage. The specific treatment sequence encourages health and wellness, is best used for relaxation or stress reduction. It is believed to have many positive effects on the body including:

  • Relaxation for specific muscles and the body as a whole

  • Relief from chronic neck and shoulder stiffness, headaches, and other upper body aches and pains.

  • Increase of oxygen uptake in tissues

  • Release of anxiety

  • Promotion of calmness, peace, and tranquility

  • Decrease of insomnia and disturbed sleep

  • Encourage stagnant energy to release while balancing chakra energy

Clients are seated for Champissage™ treatments, and asked to wear a soft cotton t-shirt, without a collar. Please do not wear any bulky items underneath, such as a thick sports bra or a posture supporter. Clients with longer hair will need to have it put up and taken down at various points during the treatment, and are asked to bring a simple clip or elastic.

Champissage™ is not recommended for clients who have a recent head or neck injury (especially a concussion or whiplash), suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia, have hair extensions, or have had a recent hair transplant or plugs.

Clients may choose to have an optional hair oil applied at the end of the treatment, but are not obligated to do so.

Champissage™ can be combined with Kansa Vatki™ for a full-body balancing treatment.
